The landscape design and layout for Gallop Court was prescribed primarily by the existing buildings.
The aim was to upgrade the existing property to create a contemporary landscape along modern geometric lines, transitioning into a naturalistic landscape setting at the edges of the site that ties in with the existing surroundings.
The landscape at Gallop Court takes into consideration the considerable undulating level changes of the existing terrain in the creation of different activity platforms to meet each level. Each platform connects to the next via cascading water, terraced planting and sloping pathways.
In the design of the landscape at Gallop Court there was also an attempt at reinforcing the site’s location within the “forest” surroundings of the Gallop / Tyersall Roads area to maintain and enhance contextual accuracy.
