An elegant garden setting and dignified ambience for a hill estate complement the aesthetics of the historical house. The landscape design and layout for The Ventana was planned conceptually as a series of outdoor garden rooms separated by grey-stoned walled elements with arches derived from the architecture of the old house.
To enjoy the external ocean views of the development, the new units were placed at the edges of the property in a “U” shape encompassing the central portion of the historic house in the centre. In order to maximize space within a small site, the pool stretches from the face of the units on one side to the podium of the historic house on the other. The pool forms the axis of the project. The linearity is enhanced by lines of formal Phoenix palms. Lush broad-leafed and flowering plants soften the remaining edges of the environment in contrast with the formal lines.
