The Landscape Design for RiverGate is based on a “ Botanic Garden “theme that reinforces and complements the green character of the upper Singapore River, and the “City in a Garden “image of Singapore

The organizational framework for the landscape is derived from the dynamic juxtaposition of straight lines derived from the geometric layout of the buildings and organic curved lines representative of the flowing river. This creative design approach successfully integrates the landscape with the architecture and its surrounding context.

Further reinforcing the integration of architecture and landscape is the innovative concept of Sky Gardens. The Sky-Gardens consist of a series of public and private gardens and balconies, which bring nature to the residents’ doorstep whilst also giving the building a green, ecologically harmonious and unique appearance on Singapore’s skyline. The public sky gardens, which are an extension of the landscape theme at ground level, are a distinguishing feature of the project.
