Robin 33« Back to Projects Listing | Print
The landscape design and layout for 33 Robin was conceived as a lush tropical outdoor environment set within a controlled rational architectural framework. The focal point of the landscape is the long rectangular bar swimming pool which cantilevers over the car parking at ground to visually disappear into the leaves of the trees beyond. Exploiting the serenity of reflective water was a major design intent which brings to the project a “Zen” quality and an air of quiet dignified beauty.

While there is no main clubhouse space the party deck next to the Gym facility, is lightly tucked away from the main pool space and is visually linked to the pool deck are by the strong linear line of water across a stone terrace planted with palms. Strategically placed focal points are waterfeatures with one on ground on axis with the entrance to the parking entrance and with the other at the level of the pool deck, framed on axis by the palm court next to the Gym. In both these features a strong attempt was made to achieve a very gentle murmur of water in the background, nothing loud or unrestrained which would not be in keeping with the tranquil elegance of the design.
